When we gather together we need to make sure that we acknowledge and worship God as God.
The creator. The Lord. He has the final say in all situations.

1 Peter 2:9-11

1 Peter 2:9-11

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

We are His creations and we need to confess that He knows what He's doing.

  • Don't question what He's allowing to come into our life.
  • God has never made a mistake and none of His plans can be hindered.
  • There are no mistakes or emergencies in Heaven.
  • He's causing all things to work together for our good.

The clay (us) should never question what the Potter (God) is doing.

  1. He does what He does perfectly. Remember: Don't be envious of what someone else has.
  2. You don't know what that person is going through or what it took to get what they have.
  3. When we don't appreciate what God is doing or has done for us we are saying that God doesn't know what's best for us.

When we fear we are saying that we don't believe God is in control.

  1. He knows what He's doing.
  2. We need to check ourselves to make sure that our actions and behavior line up with what we say we believe.

Jesus had peace and could rest in the midst of the storm because He knew what the Father said.

  1. He knew that the Father sent Him to the other side and because He was sent and received the word from God, Jesus knew He would make it.
  2. God will never allow the righteous to lack anything.
  3. Be mindful of what is coming out of your mouth because what's in your heart will come out of your mouth.
  4. Do your words represent Unbelief or Faith.

The spirit of Fear should have no dwelling place with us.

  1. God never gave that to us. Cast it out.
  2. God didn't give it to you therefore when it comes you need to get rid of it.
  3. We all need to be reprogrammed.
  4. We need the hard drive of our mind/heart to be wiped clean and then filled again with what God has said.

When you are saved you need to realize that you are different.

  1. You should no longer think about how much you can play with or get near sin, you are now going a different way all together.
  2. We are a royal priesthood and we need to be reprogrammed to think differently about ourselves.
  3. In the Old Testament there were only a select few that could approach God but now we are all priests who can approach God.
  4. We are all priests who offer sacrifices of praise and we need to have an arsenal of praises prepared to combat every one of life's situations/challenges that we are going to experience.

Be careful with what you say because the same mouth you bless God with is the same mouth people will curse others with.

  1. Watch your mouth.
  2. Priests don't use foul language.
  3. Priests are the only ones who can approach God.
  4. It's an honor that we have because of the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Every place God has us (i.e. work, in our family, etc.) is where we are on assignment for a season.

  1. We are there because we are the only ones who can go into the presence of God.
  2. When someone is in the military they don't choose their battleground, they are assigned.
  3. It's the same with us.
  4. Wherever we are, God is calling us to bring blessings down in that place.

Wherever we go everyday we need to carry the presence of God.

  1. As royal, kingly priests we have authority.
  2. And as priests we should be praising God at all times, not just on Sunday mornings.
  3. We are priests because that's who God made us and not because we deserve it.
